Workshop: Coping with uni as a survivor of sexual violence

  • Room 459 (main building) (map)

This workshop is facilitated by two survivor activist from the Not The Only One project and is open to students who have experienced any form of sexual violence, including sexual abuse in childhood. We aim to provide a space where you can meet other students who have had similar experiences. Together, we will look at specific struggles survivors may face with common uni challenges, such as exams, workload, deadlines, studying, etc., and share ways to deal with these as well as how and where to get support. As facilitators we will bring what we have learned from our personal experience and in our work with other survivors, as well as our experience as creative arts therapists. There will be information and practical tips, and also lots of space for you to connect to each other and share what you'd like to share about the every day experience of being a survivor at uni. If you have any more questions or any access needs (think: anything that we could do that would make it possible / easier / more comfortable for you to attend the workshop) just send us an email at
